Design and manufacturability
It starts with understanding your product, your market and your requirements: dose schedule, patient adherence, child resistance, tamper evidence, cost and shelf presence. From there we design the packaging, and we design it to be produced. This is where most projects come unstuck elsewhere: a strong concept that turns out to be hard or expensive to manufacture. We weigh the production process of every component from day one, so the design that gets approved is one we can actually build at scale.
We then prototype against your original requirements, adjust, and repeat until you have a sample you are happy to approve. For specialty and complex medication, rare disease packs, wallets, titration packs and dosage schedules, this is where the value is decided.
Components, in-house
Once the design is approved, we prepare production: your artwork onto the components, match proofs, raw materials, and any tooling needed to manufacture the components. We make the packaging components ourselves, so the people who designed the pack are the people who build it, and quality and lead time stay in our hands. If you plan to pack in house, we build the assembly and sealing machine and its tooling in the same step.
With approvals in place, manufacturing of the wallets and cartons begins.
Packaging and serialisation
With components and machine in place, your product is assembled and sealed into its pack. You can run this in house with our on-site support, or hand it to Ecobliss as your contract packer for human and veterinary medicines, including controlled substances, with primary and secondary packaging and serialisation handled under one roof. Either way it is one accountable process, done efficiently and to GMP standard.
